The Dalles Sixth Street widening project begins April 21

THE DALLES — Starting April 21, the southbound lane of Sixth Street between Pomona Street W and the intersection ending before the Southern entrance to Coastal Farm and Ranch will close, with the detour using Pomona to W Seventh Street to Myrtle Street, then back onto W Sixth Street.

A "Road Closed Local Access Sign" will be posted at Pomona allowing for access to businesses South of Pomona to ASTRO to remain open and accessible but there will be no thru traffic between Pomona and Snipes streets. The Northbound Lane on W Sixth Street will remain open with traffic speeds reduced to 25 mph. Estimated closure is 3 weeks.
