Corey Case
Why should residents consider you for the MCFR board position 2?
I feel that the residents from Wasco County should consider me for the board position 2 as I have served a full term now for four years. With that experience, I have a good understanding of how Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue district is run and operates. I have been involved in a lot of other community activities and want the best for our community. I have 21 years of experience in doing finance for different varieties of businesses.
What is the role of the fire district in our rural county?
I believe that the role of the fire district is to try and achieve the mission statement of the fire district, to provide professional services and education to minimize suffering and protect life and property. I believe the role of the board of directors is to make sure that fire district is financial stable and to make process and procedures for guidance of the fire chief to fulfill the district mission.
How will you continue to support the district’s mission of “To provide professional services and education to minimize suffering and protect life and property?”
I will continue to support the district with my knowledge of financials, as well as making sure to hold the fire chief accountable in fulfilling the mission. In holding the fire chief accountable, I will also support him to make sure he has the knowledge and tools needed to support the district mission. I will be an engaged and dedicated board member to make our district stronger and better in order for us to have a saver community.
