THE DALLES — Mary Beth Richman of Columbia Gorge Real Estate has been named REALTOR of the Year by the Mid-Columbia Association of REALTORS (MCAR).
MCAR represents more than 300 members across six counties in Oregon and Washington within the Columbia River Gorge. As the region’s largest trade association, MCAR is affiliated with the Oregon, Washington, and National Associations of REALTORS.
The purpose of the REALTOR organization, a registered 501(c)(6) nonprofit, is to promote education, advocate for public and member interests, uphold the highest ethical standards, and safeguard property rights and homeownership. Every year, MCAR selects a REALTOR of the Year to recognize a member who exemplifies these values and has made significant contributions to their community and the association.
In addition to recognizing Richman, the following individuals were honored for their outstanding service:
• Rising Star Award: Stephanie Howell, Copper West Real Estate
• REALTOR Spirit Award: Katie Mantel, Windermere Columbia River Gorge
• REALTOR Legacy Award: Carmen Hacha, CZ Realty
The evening’s events also included a fundraising raffle, which raised more than $500 for the Oregon Association of REALTORS Home Foundation, supporting public education and down payment assistance. A second raffle raised nearly $500 for the Oregon REALTORS Political Action Fund, which advocates for homeowners and the real estate industry.
