THE DALLES – Fire crews continue to respond to the Larch Creek Fire (formerly Winslow Road Fire), which ignited yesterday, July 2, near Friend, Oregon. As of today, a Level 1 "Be Ready" evacuation notice remains in place for areas potentially impacted by the fire.

A Level 1 evacuation notice means residents should be aware of the danger that exists in their area, monitor emergency services websites and local media for information, and have a plan and the necessary items to evacuate should the need arise.
