HOOD RIVER — Hood River County School District (HRCSD) is inviting all members of the community to participate in its annual Strategic Plan Survey. The survey will be open through Tuesday, Oct. 28, and is a critical tool for both evaluating the school district’s current performance and setting priorities for the next five years.
The school district is seeking input from parents/guardians of all students, middle and high school students, HRCSD staff, and general community members.
This year’s survey has a dual focus that will directly impact the future direction of HRCSD:
Assessing Progress: The feedback will be used to accurately measure the success of the current Strategic Plan, which is completing its final year. Key areas under review include fairness, learning and growth, family involvement, wellness, and safety.
Building Our Future: The responses will officially kick off the process for the next five-year Strategic Plan (2026-2031). Community vision will be used to directly set priorities for student success, job readiness, equity, and future initiatives.
“Your input is essential to providing all students with the best possible educational experience,” said Superintendent Bill Newton. “The survey is a quick way to share your voice and directly help shape the next five years of our school district. Together, we can make our schools even better for our students and community.”
The confidential survey takes approximately 10 minutes or less to complete for most participants.
