Smoke drifts east as residents in The Dalles brace for the next round of evacuation notices.
Gary Elkinton photoROWENA — Evacuation areas continue to expand as the Rowena Fire has burned 3,500 acres as of Thursday afternoon. Teams responded Wednesday and were up against 25 mile an hour winds that pushed the fire east, burning at least 20 homes in the process.
