The Horizon basketball teams gave fans their first look at the Hawks Friday night during “Hawk Madness.” The evening featured scrimmages by the boys and girls high school teams as well as junior Hawks teams. At right, Johannes Decker and Jacob Wells battle for a rebound in the boys high school scrimmage. The highlight of the evening came when Horizon varsity coach Darrin Lingel offered to donate a pizza from his Papa Murphy’s restaurant if someone could hit a half-court shot. Brad Anderson promptly stepped up and drained a half-courter to earn a free pizza.
