Sterling Savings Bank has promoted Barbara Cosner to area manager, a role in which she will oversee the Goldendale and White Salmon branches.

Cosner came to Sterling in 2006 as a branch manager. She previously worked at Wells Fargo Bank in The Dalles, Ore., where she was a teller and personal banker. She also completed a manager-training program with Gap Inc.
