Sailing:
The Columbia Gorge Racing Association (CGRA) invites all sailors to come to the Cascade Locks Marina this Saturday for a sail and a barbecue lunch. The free-of-charge event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the barbecue starting at 11 a.m.
A number of sailboats will be available to the public, and their skippers will be on hand to give rides on the Columbia River to want-to-be sailors. Small, 7-foot Optimist and Bic dinghies will be in service for children to sail.
Each participant is encouraged to bring a life jacket and a change of clothes. (A wetsuit, if owned, should be worn.)
The CGRA-sponsored event is an opportunity for sailors of all ages to get acquainted with the sport of sailing and to learn more about CGRA's youth sailing and performance sailboat racing programs.
For more information, visit CGRA online at www.cgra.org.
