Prosecutor reports on cases

Jose Guadalupe Guzman, 36, of Mexico, pled guilty to manufacturing a controlled substance -- marijuana, alien in possession of a firearm, and malicious mischief in the first degree and was sentenced to 366 days in prison. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling over $2,300 including $250 to the Sheriff's Office Drug Fund and restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing. The defendant will be on 12 months of supervision by the Department of Corrections upon his release. The defendant also faces deportation proceedings.

Robert Lee Moon, 53, of Dallesport, pled guilty to delivery of a controlled substance -- marijuana and was sentenced to 30 days of electronic home monitoring. The defendant must also pay all standard court costs totaling $2,482 including a $1,000 fine and $250 to the Klickitat County Sheriff's Office Drug Fund. The defendant will be under 12 months of supervision by the Department of Corrections during which time he must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment.

Nicole Renee Bromlie, 22, of Goldendale, pled guilty to assault in the third degree and DUI. The defendant was sentenced to 45 days in the county jail and an additional 90 days of electronic home monitoring. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $$3,395.50 including $250 to the Goldendale Police Department Investigation Fund and $500 incarceration costs. The defendant will be under 12 months of supervision by the Department of Corrections during which time she must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment. The defendant's driver's license will also be suspended by the Department of Licensing.

Steven Ray Campbell, 19, of Appleton, pled guilty to theft in the third degree and malicious mischief in the third degree and was sentenced to three days in the county jail. The defendant must pay all standard court costs totaling $2,187.50 including $250 to the Sheriff's Investigation Fund and restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing. The defendant will be on probation for two years and may not have contact with the victim during that time.

The following juveniles appeared in Klickitat County Superior Court on Jan. 11, 2010:

A 15 year old male from Goldendale pled guilty to attempted theft in the second degree and was sentenced to 12 months of supervision by the Juvenile Department and 24 hours of community service. The juvenile must pay standard court costs totaling $260 including $60 restitution to the victim.

A 14 year old male from White Salmon pled guilty to theft in the third degree and was sentenced to four months of supervision by the Juvenile Department and 16 hours of community service. The juvenile must pay all standard court costs totaling $100 not including restitution to the victim in an amount to be determined at a later hearing.

A 14 year old male from Goldendale pled guilty to attempted theft in the second degree. The juvenile was sentenced to 12 months of supervision by the Juvenile Department and 24 hours of community service. The juvenile must pay all standard court costs including restitution to the victim.

A 12 year old male from Lyle pled guilty and entered into a deferred disposition on a charge of attempted burglary in the second degree. The juvenile was sentenced to six months of supervision by the Juvenile Department and 16 hours of community service. The juvenile must also pay restitution to the victim. Under the terms of the Deferred Disposition the juvenile may withdraw his guilty plea if he successfully completes the terms of his supervision and the court will dismiss the charge. However, if the juvenile violates the terms of the Deferred Disposition the court may revoke the supervision and re-sentence the juvenile with no credit for any of the community service or supervision time that was completed to that point.
