Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the fun at the second night of Sprint Families in the Park this Thursday at Jackson Park. Music begins at 7 p.m., but the activities begin well before that.
Starting at around 5:30 p.m. the U.S. Forest Service will have its “Get Wild with Wildlife” program. Children and adults will enjoy the many displays on wildlife and the forest. There will be live birds of prey and many interactive stations, and kids will love the giant inflatable salmon.
At 6 p.m. the fundraising barbecue begins, hosted by New Parent Services.
Enjoy a fajita dinner, quesadillas, or nachos. Other vendors will be selling desserts, sno-cones, kettle corn, pop and ice cream.
Taking the stage at 7 p.m. will be Moe Dixon, who will bring his electrifying one-man show of pop and folk music to the park.
The concerts in the park are free to the public thanks to the generous support of dozens of businesses and service clubs.
