"Man's Love of Cars: Works in oil on aluminum sheets, acrylic and mixed media" by artist Diane Gadway will be on display in the White Salmon Valley Community Library's Sprint/Baker Gallery during the month of August.
While attending a recent family reunion, Gadway said, "out came the old photo albums. What struck me the most were all the cars. How proud of them they were."
Gadway explores the American fascination with cars. "We love them. They mean freedom, but at what cost? We are the decision makers."
Gadway has been "living an illustrated life" since she was a young child inspired by her one-room school teacher in South Dakota. She has been creating art in the White Salmon area for 31 years.
The exhibit may be viewed during regular library hours.
