Swindells Resource Center of Providence Child Center will be hosting a series on Autism on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hood River Library.
Dr. Charles Cowan, developmental pediatrician and Clinic Director of the Seattle Children's Autism Center, will discuss current understanding regarding autism spectrum disorders in 2013.
Dr. Cowan will discuss recent developments in research, expected changes to the DSM-V, and issues and progress made on the community and state levels in our region.
A portion of this session will be dedicated to answering questions from the participants.
Questions and discussion are welcome. Because it is a live, interactive teleconference, the speakers will take and answer questions in real-time.
