The Klickitat County Planning Department is accepting comments on a shoreline conditional use application from the City of White Salmon for the installation of a waterline varying in size from six inches to 18 inches.
The new waterline would replace an existing 14-inch steel pipeline that lies under Northwestern lake. The replacement waterline is part of the city's Buck Creek waterline relocation project within Klickitat and Skamania counties.
The application referred to above only covers that portion of the proposal lying within Klickitat County.
The deadline for submitting comments is Feb. 9, 2011. The matter is scheduled to go before the Klickitat County Planning Commission on Feb. 22.
Also on Feb. 22, the planning commission is set to consider a shoreline conditional use application from the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission to install a 180-square-foot vault toilet at Doug's Beach, Columbia Hills State Park, in the Lyle/Murdock vicinity.
Comments on the proposal will be received until Feb. 10.
