Dr. Helen Caldicott, famous worldwide for her work on human health radiation issues, peace, and nuclear non-proliferation, will appear in Hood River on Monday, April 15, at the Hood River Middle School Auditorium. The event begins at 8 p.m.

Dr. Caldicott is the founder of the Nobel Prize-winning organization Physicians for Social Responsibility, and is herself a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize. The Smithsonian Institute and Ladies' Home Journal named her one of the most influential women of the 20th century, and she has honorary degrees from 19 universities.
