An informal monthly reading and discussion group for adults will be starting at the White Salmon Valley Community Library on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
The group will meet the third Tuesday of each month September through May at 6:00 p.m. in the library's Sprint/Baker Gallery.
This year's titles for discussion will be: The Sweet Hereafter by Russell Banks on Sept. 17; The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood on Oct. 15; An American Childhood by Annie Dillard on Nov. 19; The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni on December 17. Titles for January through May will be announced in December.
The public is invited to take part in the book discussions. Come once or every month! The first title in the series is now available at the library's front desk. Annotated booklists with discussion dates are also available.
The programs are co-sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
