County infections above state average

When COVID-19 hit in March 2020 and school went online, teachers had to scramble to find a way to understand their situation. Most teachers were faced with teaching in a completely new format with minimal training and direction, and they all had to struggle to figure something out.

THE DALLES — A 40th death from complications of COVID-19 in Wasco County has been reported by the North Central Public Health District (NCPHD). A woman died Sept. 11 at Mid-Columbia Medical Center (MCMC). She tested positive two days prior to her death. It is the 40th death for the county.
