Trout Lake boys cross country finishes second in Umatilla

TROUT LAKE — The Trout Lake boys cross country team had its best finish this season Oct. 17, when it placed second at the Foot Race to Valhalla meet in Umatilla.

The Mustangs bested all but winner, Union, in the seven-team meet.

Trout Lake was led by Thaddeus Lambert, who was eighth in the 5,000-meter race in 18 minutes, 45 seconds. Also placing among the Mustangs’ top five runners were: Nehemiah Davis, 13th, 19:04; Elijiah Steward, 14th, 19:05; Joby Steward, 19th, 19:36; and Jory Pearson, 32nd, 20:39.

Trout Lake junior Melody Stock finished fourth in the girls race in 20:43.
