HRV boys well represented on all-league soccer team

HOOD RIVER — Hood River Valley’s boys soccer team had nine of its varsity players mentioned on the 2025 Northwest Oregon Conference all-league team.

Coach Alvaro Lara’s Eagles finished in third place in the final NWOC standings with a 5-2-1 record (7-7-2 overall) and earned the ninth seed into the state playoffs.

The Eagles had three first-team picks in balloting by the league’s coaches: sophomore defender Miguel Lopez, senior forward Rohan Gutierrez, and senior midfielder Solomon Parson.

Goalkeeper Emmanuel Galindo was a second-team choice. Honorable mention went to defender Santiago Flores, a junior; sophomore forward Anthony Hernandez; sophomore Kristian Gomez; and seniors Sebastian Clarkson and Elijah Kellert.

The Eagles’ season ended with a Nov. 5, 2-1, loss to Silverton, which was decided on penalty kicks.
