THE DALLES — The Dalles High School hosted Gorge-area small schools in a mid-week track and field meet May 6 at Wahtonka.
Among the top times and marks for the Riverhawks was the personal best, 119-foot, 2-inch girls javelin throw of freshman Willow Ziegenhagen; her teammate, Laci Hoylman, also threw a PR at 109-10.
Ziegenhagen won the high jump at 4-10, was second in the 100 meters and ran a leg on The Dalles’ 4x100 relay. She was joined on the relay by 100-meter winner Marie-Lousie McCracken, Sydney Newby, and Ebany Mondragon. McCracken also won the 200 in a PR 27.9 seconds. Another PR came from Alaina Casady, who clocked a personal best 2:30.02 in the 800.
On the boys side, Derek Goulart won the 100 meters in 11.62, and River McClure won the 300 hurdles in 39.31. They were joined by David McCracken and Julian Morehouse on the first-place 4x100 relay, which they teamed up to run in 43.66 seconds.
In the field, Anthony Santana won the long jump at 19-3.5 and he bounded 38-2 in the triple jump.
