With just two weeks remaining in the regular bowling season at Hood River’s Orchard Lanes, Team Hirata holds a commanding 33-point lead in the third round of the high-powered Wednesday night Fraternal League. That makes them a shoo-in to take the third round, nothing short of a catastrophe. If that holds up, Team Hirata will join the winners of the first two rounds and a wildcard team in the season-ending roll-off on May 13 for the coveted championship of the Fraternal League, the best league in the Gorge. All other leagues have finished. To honor the best individual performances in every league, here are the high scratch scores of the 2014-2015 bowling season (names are in order of high game, high series and high average):
Monday night Industrial League: Chris Voyles, 299; Greg McDaniel, 735; 218.
Thursday County League: Rod Pratt, 247, 626, 187. Joyce Wilson, 220, 530, 156.
