MAUPIN - South Wasco County High 2026 graduate Jason Hull fulfilled one of his lifelong goals when he signed a letter of intent May 15 to attend Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND.
Hull will continue his athletic career by playing on the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Trinity Lions men's basketball team for Coach Jordan Nowell.
Numerous friends and family members attended the signing ceremony in South Wasco’s gym last month to celebrate Hull’s special day to announce that he’ll play college basketball for the next four years.
Hull capped his senior year by leading the Redsides to a sixth-place finish in the OSAA Class 1A state tournament in March at Baker. Hull was coached by his father, Jim Hull, and will join his older sister, Julie, at Trinity. Julie is a redshirt sophomore on the Lions’ women's basketball team.
Jim Hull said: “It’s not often that your kids go to the same school, so it will make it easier when we fly back to North Dakota to watch them both play basketball in the winter.”
Jason concluded his South Wasco County High School career as Oregon's 1A all-time leading scorer with 2,560 points. Hull was the Big Sky League player of the year his junior and senior years.
