After dropping their first two games, including an 11-0 loss to Sandy on Thursday, the Eagles softball team got its first win of the season Saturday against the West Anchorage Eagles from Alaska, trouncing them by a score of 9-2.

Offense was by committee, but sophomore Makena Zeller led the team with three hits in four at bats, one of which was a triple. Frosh Zoe Munn led the team in scoring with three runs, and senior Breanna Weekly had a team-high three RBI, as well as HRV’s only homer of the afternoon, which came in the bottom of the sixth inning.
