Accessible, affordable, and reliable internet is an essential piece of infrastructure for residents, communities, and businesses. To fulfill this goal, Mid-Columbia Economic Development District (MCEDD) has been working closely with the Wasco County Broadband Action Team to develop the Mid-Columbia Broadband Speed Survey. The survey is now open and available for public participation for residents and businesses in Hood River, Wasco, and Sherman counties in Oregon and Klickitat and Skamania counties in Washington.

The City of White Salmon is providing free access to the Hood River Pool for residents that live within the city limits.  You may sign up at city hall at 100 N. Main or by sending an email to utilityclerk@ci.white-salmon.wa.us or by calling 509-493-1133. Do not try and sign up at the Hood River pool.

THE DALLES — In mid-March of 2020, like thousands of other establishments, The Dalles Wasco County Public library shut its doors to the public, unable to offer more than curbside service in order to comply with statewide safety guidelines and help slow the spread of COVID-19. As of May 18, 2021, the library is open and welcoming the public once again.
