Appearing in the OSAA Class 1A eight-man football state playoffs for the first time since 2017, the No. 11-ranked Sherman County/Condon High Huskies (6-3) were hoping to get an upset win on the road over the No. 5 ranked Myrtle Point High Bobcats in a Nov. 5 first-round contest.

The No. 12-ranked Sherman County/Condon High Huskies won their fourth straight Class 1A Special District 2 eight-man football game 52-16 over the winless Pilot Rock High Rockets (0-5 SD2, 0-8 overall) Oct. 20 at Pilot Rock High School.

The Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat High Cougars were seeking a fifth straight win in Special District 2 eight-man football versus the No. 15 ranked Imbler Panthers (2-2 SD2, 3-3 overall), but their win streak ended Friday in a 30-16 road loss.
