On calmer days in the Gorge, there’s one sport in particular that benefits from the lack of strong wind: paragliding.

HOOD RIVER — The Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum (WAAAM) will host the 2026 Hood River Fly-In at the Hood River Airport on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13.
