Letter to the editor: Obnoxious odor

One wrote that only 40 people worked at the plant, so apparently their lives aren’t that important, as long as it doesn’t bother you personally. Have you read the recent article on the results of a recent investigation? Or would it matter if it was your child that had breathed that horrible odor coming from the plant and their lungs and kidneys bled out? Or they developed cancer?

This happened to me, I worked out in the area of that plant for 5 years, I got an auto-immune disease from breathing that odor and my lungs and kidneys bled out and I nearly died. And I still have a lot of health problems from it.

According to the recent investigation the creosote is seeping into well water, the Columbia River and in the air. And it is not healthy.

Please go to the meeting Jan. 20th at 6 pm at the college and get their license shut down.
