Letter to the editor: Leave buses room

The tour bus parking sign was evident. A second pickup showed up and parked behind the first one. I talked with that driver about bus parking, he told me he was only staying 30 minutes. A couple of minutes later a car showed up and parked there also.

Five minutes later, two tour buses showed up with passengers. The buses had no place to park so they had no choice but to double park.

It is now 5 o’clock and traffic is picking up. With the buses blocking one lane First Street became a traffic nightmare. Two way traffic was reduced to one lane all because people choose to not use common sense.

The tour buses have a very small parking spot so when there is a cruise ship in town then people please refrain from taking up those spots.
