To the editor:
I want to give a special THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard and gave so much to make our Mid-Columbia Senior Center Uplifting Elevator Project a rousing success. The contributions and cooperation from this community has been astonishing.
I have one very important addition to the article from last week as I must have had a "senior moment" and left off an important donor: Griffith Motors/Toyota dealer match of $5,000.
The center is now in year 31 of operations. We serve the entire community, all ages and a wide range of activities. We invite everyone to come visit and become acquainted with all that happens at the center.
Because we are totally community supported, each participant makes it possible for us to continue our programs.
Membership contributions, fund raising events and leases from the Meals on Wheels Inc. and The Dalles Rod and Gun Club are what keeps our doors open. Hope we see more of the community partaking of our services.
