CGN inclement weather info

Hypothermia strikes when the body temperature falls dangerously low, according to the Center for Disease Control (CDC). When body temperature falls below 95 degrees Fahrenheit, that’s an emergency — call 911 and ask for medical help. Symptoms include shivering, exhaustion, confusion, fumbling hands, memory loss, slurred speech and drowsiness.

If you can’t get immediate medical help, get the person into a warm room, get them dry, and wrap in warm blankets — including the head and neck. If possible warm the center of the body (chest, head, neck, groin) first.
