The City of White Salmon is asking all water customers to conserve water starting Monday, Sept. 29, until further notice.
This conservation request is necessary to accommodate an upgrade to the city’s water treatment plant, which will temporarily reduce source water production.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to use water wisely during this period. The city appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding as these important improvements are completed. Contact Public Works Director Chris True at 509-281-4093 with any questions.
The city also began roadwork at the intersection of NE Estes Avenue and NE Spring Street on Tuesday, Oct. 1. The work is expected to last approximately one week, weather and soil conditions permitting.
Expect temporary closures and traffic control within the work zone, along with marked detours. Please watch for “Road Closed Ahead,” “Road Closed,” and “Detour” signage, and follow all directions from on-site personnel. The construction schedule and duration may be adjusted based on field and soil conditions.
The project is part of the City’s ongoing N Main and Spring Street improvements, currently entering stage 4 at the Estes intersection.
