Fraudulent charges on a credit card May 19.
An unattended death at a local living center.
Four thefts. The rear tire was stolen off a bike that was locked on a bike rack at Hood River Middle School May 19. The frame was also damaged. One whole entire bicycle was stolen from Columbia Area Transit two days later. An e-bicycle was stolen from the same place May 24. The suspect was later arrested on four charges. Shoplifting on May 24.
Two non-injury traffic crashes. May 22, Thirteenth and Belmont. May 22, outside city limits.
A pedestrian at Center Market reported someone shot them with an airsoft gun from a moving vehicle on May 22. The vehicle was located, stopped and occupants detained. The victim did not wish to pursue criminal action.
An officer stopped a driver for no seat belt, observed signs of impairment, and arrested the driver for DUII and unlawful possession/concealment of firearm (one).

10 vehicle crashes. One on W. Sixth Street May 24; another on Chenowith Loop the same day. Another two crashes took place on the afternoon of May 27, at Dry Hollow and at Pomona Street. Another happened May 28 at Brewery Grade. Four more happened at E. Twelfth, Court Street, Irvine, and W. Tenth the same day. One on Washington Street May 30.

Six vehicle crashes. Highway 26, near milepost 60-65, May 24. And two crash logs on I-84 near mileposts 84 and 84.5 westbound, both May 25, at the same time. And a crash on Davenport Road May 27. And another crash on Deschutes River Access Road the same day. And one on Browns Creek Road May 29.
A DUIIs. Old Dufur Road at 197 May 24.
Two drug incidents on Webber Street and Third Avenue.
A search and rescue was called on Carroll Road May 26 at about 4 a.m.
An alleged gunshot was followed by an extra patrol on McCoy Road on May 27.
A death on Highway 197 on May 29.
Oregon State Police, May 23 - 28

Notable incidents
The passenger in a vehicle was arrested for a restraining order violation after a stop for speeding.
An angler illegally kept a wild Jack Chinook near the mouth of Tanner Creek; a trooper seized the fish and educated the angler.
A DUII. A driver was arrested May 24 for driving intoxicated on Highway 19.
A trooper cited two 20-year-old male people in Spray, Oregon, after finding both of them intoxicated and in possession of beer garden bracelets indicating their age as 21 years or older. Both admitted to having fake identification, which were seized for destruction.
Three non-injury crashes. A Toyota crashed on a dirt road near John Day Fossil Beds. The driver said it left the road, went down an embankment and rolled onto its side because a dog jumped into the driver’s lap. A passerby righted the vehicle, which was able to drive away with several citations, including careless driving and no operator’s license. Separately, a GMC Sierra crashed at milepost 84 westbound on I-84; the driver was going 40 mph to look for a missing cellphone when a semi-truck rear-ended them. The Sierra required a tow; the commercial driver required two citations. Later, a Subaru Impreza blew a tire on I-84 and struck the median near milepost 48 eastbound.
Stalking, menacing, and reckless driving were reported in The Dalles. The suspect, who had previously been arrested on May 20 for stalking the same victim, was not located.
Multiple calls reported someone in the lane of travel on I-84 in Sherman County. Troopers found the person and arrested them for disorderly conduct. Searching their backpack “for valuables before placing it into safekeeping,” the trooper found a bag of white crystals and added a charge of Possession of Methamphetamine, between 2 and 10 grams.
A Fish and Wildlife sergeant found someone butchering a Canada Goose, near Clear Lake in Wasco. A pellet gun was also visible. The person tried to hide the goose but it was seized as evidence and a citation issued.
One commercial vehicle sideswiped another, causing serious injury to the second driver, on US-97 approaching Biggs Junction May 28. The injured driver was transported via Life Flight. The other vehicle was destroyed and its load of glass bottles strewn down the highway, and its driver arrested on three charges.
