Hood River Police, Dec. 8 - 14
The following charges resulted in arrests: DUII (two), driving while suspended (one), drug law violation (one), fail to register as sex offender (one), harassment (one), strangulation (one), theft (one), trespass (one), warrant (one).
Notable incidents
Four vehicle crashes, with one fatality. Officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on I-84 Dec. 9, and a pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three theft reports. Shoplifting (two) and framing lumber from Columbia Avenue job site.
Two DUII arrests. In one, a White Salmon resident was charged with driving under the influence of a controlled substance, and acknowledge using both methamphetamine and fentanyl. Later, a Salem resident was arrested on charges of DUII - controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine, and a warrant.
Officers responded to a disturbance at a store. A male was later arrested and lodged on charges of attempted strangulation, harassment and fail to register as a sex offender.
Officers arrested, cited and released two juvenile persons for harassment.
Passport issued from Mexico reported lost.

The Dalles Police, Dec. 11 - 19
The following charges resulted in arrests: DUII (one), improper use of emergency communications (two), mischief (one), public drinking (one), reckless driving (one), warrant (three).
Notable incidents
Nineteen mental health calls.
Ten animal calls. Dogs at large, barking, allegedly neglected.
Seven theft reports. Flashlight, paint machine, laundry from dryer, items from vehicle, toys from store, equipment including sonic boom, handwarmers, beanie and headlamp; vehicle.
Dec. 16, a reporting party on 16th Street stated three men broke through the back door into their residence. The caller saw a handgun on one of them. The trio then ran away towards town. The Dalles Police set up a perimeter, and Wasco and Klickitat sheriff’s deputies brought their respective police dogs to attempt tracking the suspects. A drone was also launched. Two hours later the search was called off. During this time one person in the area was seen and arrested on charge of being a felon in possession of a weapon.
Counterfeit $100 given to Mid-Columbia Senior Center.
Dec. 18, one vehicle crashed at E. Tenth/Court.

Oregon State Police, Dec. 11 - 17
The following charges resulted in arrests: DUII (three), hit and run (one), reckless driving (two), warrant (one).
Notable incidents
Four non-injury vehicle crashes. Dec. 11, a single car rolled on icy US-26. Dec. 13, Ford Focus hydroplaned from its lane on I-84, going too fast for conditions. Dec. 13, a Chevy Malibu lost control on icy I-84 near milepost 60 westbound, hit a guardrail and stopped on the shoulder, airbags deployed. Dec. 15, a Subaru Forester lost control on icy southbound US-197 going too fast for conditions, and slid across northbound lanes into the ditch.
A DUII crash. Dec. 11, a Ford Ranger left its lane and hit a Honda Civic at milepost 78 eastbound, US-26. The Ranger left the road, rolling onto the driver’s side. The driver fled on foot, was found and returned by Warm Springs Police, and arrested for DUII, reckless driving and fail to perform duties of a driver in crash with property damage, alongside three citations.
An injury crash. Dec. 13, 1:37 p.m., OSP responded to a single crashed vehicle at milepost 100, I-84 eastbound. The driver hydroplaned, bounced off the median barrier, crossed lanes and struck several trees. Airbags deployed, causing them minor injuries.
