Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels avoided a long-term absence for a right hamstring injury, an MRI showed Monday, but Commanders coach Dan Quinn is uncertain he will be ready for Monday's NFL game against Kansas City.

Daniels, a 24-year-old passer who was last year's NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, was hurt in Sunday's 44-22 loss at Dallas when his right leg twisted awkwardly as he was sacked by Cowboys linebacker Shemar James in the third quarter.
