Last week’s “Mystery” showed the 1906 A. F. & M, or Association of Free and Accepted Masons, building which still stands on Dufur’s main street. The photo was donated Columbia Gorge Discovery Center by the husband of photographer Gladys Seufert, who took a collection of images of the masonic temple’s architecture and interior details in the mid-1900s. Gary Conley remembers this as the Johnston Brothers bank, the only bank in Wasco County to weather the depression of the 1930s.

This week's photo is also by Gladys, also taken in Wasco County... at least we think it is.
