Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Janet Elaine Elliott (Perkins) passed away March 30, 2026. She went peacefully in her sleep surrounded by loved ones. She lived to be 82 years old.
Jan was born July 2, 1943, to Wanda and Willis Perkins. She grew up on their family farm in Parkdale, Oregon, with her three siblings, Kathy, Mary, and Wayne.
She graduated in 1961 from Wy’east High School in Hood River, Oregon. She married her first husband, Bill, and had a daughter Kelly and a son Philip. She married her second husband, Clay Elliott, and they just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary in November. They went on to reside in Alaska, Arizona, and finally Washington.
Jan had a passion for camping, photography, reading, genealogy, and history. She loved creating memories through her camera lens and piecing together her family history. She later turned these hobbies into beautiful photo/family tree albums her family could enjoy for years to come. Jan was happiest when she was camping with her husband Clay and family. She loved exploring new places and sharing quality time with the ones she loved most. She also loved watching baseball, especially the Seattle Mariners. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jan is survived by her husband, Clay Elliott; her daughter Kelly Yeager; her son Phillip Whitacre; her two granddaughters, Stacy and Sarah; and her five great grandchildren.
