Hood River Valley High School Homecoming Assembly 2019
Hood River Valley High School students cheered for, among other things, the reveal of the 2019 Homecoming Court, in the Sept. 27 Homecoming kickoff assembly in Vannet Court. Cheerleaders teach the fight song as well as several cheers including the classic “clap-clap-down,” after preliminaries such as the HRVHS choir’s National Anthem, led by music director Dan Keneally. The HRVHS band marches through the halls to start the assembly; that’s Lori Repp, office manager, and mother of two HRVHS alumnae, clapping for the band. “This is my favorite part of Homecoming,” Repp said. Homecoming events culminate with Friday’s 7 p.m. football game at Henderson Stadium against LaSalle on Friday, with crowning of the King and Queen at halftime.
