Free fishing clinics by Forest Service returning

The sessions are intended for kids 12 and younger, but young adults and parents can participate. Children can fish with an expert angler, learn “catch and release” techniques and to learn how to cast, among other skills.

The free events will have limited supplies of hot dogs and water at lunch time.

“This is a great event for the whole family, and an opportunity for kids to not only have fun fishing, but to also learn about the aquatic environment and to be in the outdoors,” said Darcy Saiget, MHNF fish biologist.
