Community Education has added some classes for first aid/CPR for February and March. Sign up at hrcommunityed.org then select “classes” from the left shortcut menu or call 541-387-5082 to register.
Registration must be received at least 48 hours before class is scheduled to begin to assure the class meets minimum enrollment.
n Heartsaver CPR/First Aid/AED — This American Heart Association class is intended for all individuals who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements, such as: teachers, day care workers, fitness instructors, utility or agricultural workers, manufacturing or government employees, or anyone who desires to learn the skills of CPR or first aid.
Certification is valid for two years.
CPR, AED and First Aid Training consists of adult, child and infant CPR and choking procedures; AED familiarization and operation; special situations; first aid basics; and medical, injury and environmental emergencies.
Cost is $45, which includes all supplies/materials and textbooks.
The class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, and Saturday, March 8.
