Brent Emmons named interim assistant principal

HOOD RIVER — Brent Emmons has been hired as the interim assistant principal for the 2025-2026 school year at Hood River Valley High School (HRVHS) following a thorough process.

“Brent is a familiar and respected leader within our school district,” said Hood River County School District (HRCSD) Superintendent Bill Newton. “He has served as a student achievement specialist for the past three years [at HRVHS] and was previously the principal of Hood River Middle School for several years. His experience also includes time as a classroom teacher. Brent’s deep understanding of our community and dedication to student success will be invaluable in this interim role.”
