Northern crayfish in Oregon

A Northern crayfish discovered in Ashland.

The Rusty crayfish can be identified by the dark brown spot on its side, orange and black pinchers and narrow thorax plate.

The native Signal crayfish has a white patch where it’s claws join, smooth claws and a wide thorax plate on it back just above where the tail joins the body. Â
