The annual Hood River County Fair, held July 23-26 at the fairgrounds in Odell, was the first in a series of county fairs in the Gorge. Coming up is the Skamania County Fair, Aug. 13-16 (Stevenson); Klickitat County fair, Aug. 13-17 (Goldendale); and the Wasco County Fair and Rodeo, Aug. 14-17 (Tygh Valley).
