The congregation of the Pine Grove /Odell United Methodist Church is hosting the Twilight Service on Christmas Eve, Wednesday, Dec. 24 at 4 p.m. The service will be held at the Historic Pine Grove Methodist Church at 2415 Eastside Rd.
Dolly Rasmussen, a long time member of the church, wishes to extend a welcome to everyone, church member or not. Come enjoy visiting, singing and the joy of the season. The interior of the church was recently refurbished, seats 150 guests and has its own distinct lead and stained glass windows from its inception in 1907. Hope to see you there.
With great sadness I am mentioning the recent death of long time Pine Grove resident Richard Whitecotton. As per family wishes there was a small family gathering to honor Richard and his family wishes to thank you for your understanding of this request and a service may be held in the future. Please do not let this stop you from sending cards, your thoughts and visiting with family members when you can.
If you have been by the Pine Grove Fire Department in the past few months you have seen a new building next to the auction building behind the fire department. This building was able to be built with donations from families in the valley. Wells Construction was the contractor and Zach Faulkner removed the HUGE tree and stump that was in the place that the building was to be built. Watch for dedication information soon.
As I do not get to write as often as I use to, I want to thank everyone that always supports me and wish you all a warm place to rest your head, food for your body, love of your family and kindness to all you encounter.
