HRVHS students advance to HOSA nationals, ask for community help

Hood River Valley High School students excelled in health and science occupational knowledge competition at the recent state HOSA conference, earning berths at nationals June 24-29 in Orlando, Fla.

Sweeping the Forensics Medicine competition were: Thania Torres, first; Sam Ortiz, and Hannah Blaine. In CPR/First Aid, Thania Torres and Jovany Pedroza placed first, and Yureli Cervas and Sam Ortiz place third. Eduardo Garcia won the Extemporaneous Health Poster contest. Yureli Cuevas and Nora Gonzalez earned certification in CSSI, an online test for health and service industry and hospitality jobs.
