HOOD RIVER — Thrive Hood River and Jim Gilbert will showcase his new documentary from 6-8:30 p.m. at The Ruins, 13 Railroad St., Hood River, on Jan. 25.

The documentary, titled “An Oregon Story: Saving our Beaches, Farmland and More,” showcases the origins of Oregon’s unique land use system. The doors open at 6 p.m. with the movie showing at 6:30 p.m. The movie’s runtime is 83 minutes.
