Klindt’s Booksellers in The Dalles will host Sherman Alexie, Elizabeth Woody, Rosanne Parry, and Craig Lesley for a book signing in support of the American Indian Cultural Festival in The Dalles.
All four authors will appear on Thursday, April 13 at 7 p.m. at Klindt’s Bookstore to sign books and meet readers. This event is free and open to the public.
All four authors explore issues facing Native People in their books. The author’s featured titles include:
Sherman Alexie: Thunder Boy, Jr; The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, a National Book Award winner. Alexie grew up on the Spokane Reservation.
Elizabeth Woody: Luminaries of the Humble; Seven Hands, Seven Hearts. Woody is a member of Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs and an Oregon Poet Laureate.
Rosanne Parry: Written in Stone. Parry is a popular OBOB author. Written in Stone is a Community Reads program pick and 400 copies have been given away locally. Craig Lesley: Winterkill, River Song. Lesley is twice nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
