HOOD RIVER — Voci Community Choir, a Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association vocal ensemble, will present “Our Shared Humanity” April 26 and 28.
Performances take place April 26, 7 p.m. and April 28, 2 p.m. at Hood River Valley Christian Church, 975 Indian Creek Road, Hood River.
This concert will feature a repertoire of world music, gospel selections and contemporary choral works based on the poetry of Maya Angelou, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Wendell Berry and Ogden Nash. The choir will also perform the world premiere of a piece commissioned by Tina Castañares of Hood River and composed by Mark Steighner.
This evening of choral music aims to captivate audiences with a diverse selection of songs spanning various eras and genres.
