Last week’s “mystery” was printed courtesy of the Hood River history museum. Nobody called in, but museum records show it’s a photo of the construction of Mitchell Point Tunnel sometime around 1915. The hole in the rock is visible, with a simple wooden ladder propped up to reach it. The identity of the person is unknown. See below:
