THE DALLES — Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, Inc. (GOBHI) has announced it is moving its headquarters to another location in The Dalles.
Effective Nov. 1, GOBHI’s new office is located at 3729 Klindt Dr. The Dalles, OR 97058, on The Dalles’ historic waterfront.
GOBHI is a nonprofit health and human services organization responsible for administering behavioral health and non-emergent medical transportation benefits and leading community engagement efforts on behalf of Eastern Oregon Coordinated Care Organization. GOBHI also provides human services programs helping children, adults, and families around the state, including the Columbia River Gorge.
GOBHI has made preparations to sell its former property at 401 E. 3rd St. to Wasco County. The downtown 3rd Street building would serve as office space for county staff and existing tenants.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our longstanding community presence in The Dalles at the new location,” said Karen Wheeler, GOBHI CEO. “The smaller footprint is a better fit for our office needs, and the Columbia River views will be a unique highlight for staff and visitors alike.”
Many GOBHI staff work remotely, however the organization uses a physical presence for daily operations of key office staff, meetings with community members, and other business.
The move to the waterfront represents the continuation of GOBHI’s physical presence in the Gorge, which it has carried forward at various locations since its founding in 1994.
GOBHI invites anybody interested in learning about its services to visit the website gobhi.org or call 541-298-2101.
