THE GORGE — September is Hunger Action Month, a time when people across the country join together to help end hunger. This September, Oregon Food Bank is asking you to rethink what hunger looks like in our communities and to join us to build solutions that work for all Oregonians.

Hunger is everywhere in Oregon — from the Gorge to Medford to Ontario, in rural, urban and suburban communities. Across our state, one in six people are at risk of going hungry. Families are making impossible decisions as rent prices rise faster than wages and healthcare, and childcare costs keep climbing. At the same time, Oregonians have lost vital federal food assistance that helps put food on the table.
